Why do some domains require local presence?
Country-code and regional registries set their own eligibility rules. Some require a local address, citizen or company connection, administrative contact, DNS contact, or other registry-specific proof before registration can complete.
Will I still control the domain?
Yes. Trustee service is used to satisfy the registry requirement. You still manage practical domain operations through your account, including DNS, renewal planning, and related services.
Is trustee service the same as WHOIS privacy?
No. WHOIS privacy is an optional contact privacy feature when a registry supports it. Trustee service is an eligibility or local-presence service for extensions that cannot be registered normally without a qualifying local role.
Can I add trustee service after registration?
