SoxDomains has partnered with Incapsula

The Incapsula integration added website security, content delivery, optimization, and traffic reporting for hosting customers in 2013.

How the 2013 integration worked

Customers were instructed to open the Incapsula icon in cPanel, complete a sign-up form, and switch the service on for each site. Traffic would then pass through Incapsula’s network, where incoming requests were analyzed and outgoing content could be cached or compressed.

SSL and certificates

The announcement said HTTPS sites required a certificate hosted by the service. Customers had to approve certificate creation through the provider’s process.

Logging and Google Analytics

The original FAQ said the integration did not change browser-based Google Analytics. It noted that server-log tools could instead see the connecting Incapsula address unless configured for the forwarded visitor information.

Caching, compression, and minification

Incapsula was described as caching eligible static and dynamic resources, compressing responses, and removing unnecessary characters from source files without changing their function.
